Abstract

Religious syncretism, the blending of different religious beliefs and practices, has been a significant cultural phenomenon across various historical epochs. This paper investigates the evolution and manifestations of syncretism in both ancient and modern religions, emphasizing how religious and cultural amalgamation has shaped contemporary faith systems. The study focuses on case studies from the Roman Empire, the development of Islam in South Asia, and contemporary interfaith dialogues. The research demonstrates that religious syncretism is not only a product of historical confluence but also a dynamic force in modern-day religious identities and practices.
