This research study explore the introductory and analytical study of the sources and references such as the scientific status, the basis of evidence, methodology and discussions related to the Seerah of the Prophet (SAW) mentioned in the Tafsir Mawahib-ur-Rahman. Seerah of the Prophet (saw) is the practical interpretation of the Holy Quran and the basis of Islamic civilization. This study examines which basic sources the commentator has used in describing various topics of the Seerah of the Prophet (saw), such as the mission, battles (Ghazawat and saraya), Meccan and Medinan life, expeditions, treaties, invitation and preaching, the Prophet's ethics, and other important events, and what is the scientific and hadith status of these sources. This research is based on descriptive, analytical, and comparative research methods. For this purpose, the biography of Prophet SAW mentioned in Tafsir Mawahib-ur-Rahman were compared with reliable books of Tafsir, Hadith, Biography and History, and the commentator's style of citing, selection of traditions and preferential principles were critically examined. The research concludes that the commentator has made extensive use of the Holy Quran, authentic Hadiths, authentic biography books and reliable historical sources in his account of the biography of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Although there are also different or weak traditions at some places, overall Tafsir Mawahib-ur-Rahman is a reliable scholarly source in terms of an authentic and comprehensive study of the biography of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. This research not only strengthens the research study of sources and references in the field of Tafsir and Biography, but also provides useful guidance for future researchers.
