This article explores the evolving role of women in Islamic history, with a focus on their religious, social, and political roles over the centuries. The examination of Islamic texts, historical accounts, and cultural shifts reveals that the roles of women in Islam have been diverse and have undergone significant changes across different periods. From the time of the Prophet Muhammad to the contemporary era, the societal expectations, religious interpretations, and the participation of women in public life have been marked by both advancements and challenges. This paper discusses how religious practices, cultural norms, and legal frameworks have shaped the roles of women in Islamic societies and continues to do so today.
