This research paper presents a comparative study of the concept of Yajuj and Majuj mentioned in Surah Al-Kahf verses 94-98, based on the views of classical and modern exegetes. According to classical scholars like Ibn Kathir, Al-Qurtubi and Al-Tabari, Yajuj and Majuj are a physical nation from the progeny of Yafith, son of Noah, and the barrier of Dhu al-Qarnayn is a real wall of iron and copper. Their emergence is a material sign of the Hour supported by authentic hadiths. In contrast, modern exegetes such as Dr. Israr Ahmad, Mawdudi and Sayyid Qutb interpret Yajuj and Majuj as a symbol of "materialism and imperialism". For them, the barrier represents the system of justice and ethics. The study concludes that both schools are valid in their own context. The concept of Yajuj and Majuj is comprehensive: it is a historical reality of the past and also a warning for corruption in every age. The paper offers practical recommendations based on this comprehensive understanding.
