The Holy Qur’an is the true and divinely revealed word of Allah. There is no possibility of any error or alteration in it. Allah Himself has taken responsibility for its preservation; therefore, no change or distortion has occurred in the Qur’an from the time of its revelation to the present day. As the Qur’an is the sacred scripture of Islam, it has been the subject of criticism and objections by opponents of Islam throughout history. Among those who raised the greatest number of objections were the Orientalists. They repeatedly questioned various aspects of the Qur’an, but Muslim scholars and Islamic intellectuals responded with sound reasoning, scholarly arguments, and authentic evidence. The objections raised against the Qur’an, along with the responses provided by Muslim scholars, have become an important part of intellectual history. These discussions serve as a valuable repository of knowledge and arguments for later researchers, critics, and Islamic scholars. The scholarly responses to past objections further demonstrate the completeness, authenticity, and excellence of the Qur’an and provide significant guidance for students and researchers engaged in Qur’anic studies.
