The current research study examines how human resource (HR) practices, i.e. recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and work environment influence employee performance, meditated by job satisfaction, in the case of Air Sial, Sialkot, Pakistan. A structured questionnaire was used to gather data on 330 employees through the employment of a quantitative research design. Data analysis was done using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indeed verify that all the four HR practices have a significant impact on job satisfaction that in turn have a great impact on employee performance. The mediation analysis indicates that job satisfaction completely mediates the relationship between employee performance and HR practices. The results will add to the knowledge base of HR management in the aviation industry in the developing economies.
