Abstract

This paper examines a critical and analytical study of the UNESCO Convention against discrimination in education in the context of Seerah al Nabi . The main objective of this research is to highlight the practical, moral and spiritual gaps in the said convention and compare them with the principles of justice, equality and merit established during the Prophetic era. Paper investigates that the said Convention is an important document for the elimination of discrimination in education, but lack of an effective strategy for combating the complex social and institutional problem of nepotism. On the other hand, the life of the Prophet offers a practical model in which all forms of favoritism and nepotism were eliminated through the principles of piety, justice, transparency and accountability. This study explore that legal measures alone are not sufficient to promote educational equality globally, but moral and spiritual foundations is utmost necessary to root out this viral disease. This approach suggests that by integrating the principles of the biography of the Prophet to international education policies, not only erode nepotism, but create a transparent and equitable education system.
