This study provides a research-based analysis of the Islamic concept of marriage (nikāḥ) and divorce (ṭalāq), highlighting their legal, social, and ethical dimensions within the framework of Islamic law. Marriage in Islam is not merely a civil contract but a sacred institution founded on mutual love, compassion, and responsibility, as emphasized in the Qur’ān and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It establishes a lawful relationship between spouses and serves as the foundation of a stable family system and a morally upright society
