"This study is a analytical examination of Khulāṣah Ṣawlat al-Ḍaygham ʿalā Aʿdāʾ Ibn Maryam, a significant work within the Muslim-Christian polemical tradition of the Indian subcontinent. Originally authored in the nineteenth century by ʿAllāmah ʿAbbās ʿAlī Fārūqī Jājmuwī and later edited and systematized by Prof. Khurshid Ahmad Saeedi under the title A Review of Christianity and the Affirmation of the Truth of Islam, the text represents an important intellectual response to intensified Christian missionary activity during the colonial period. The research contextualizes the work within the broader theological and socio-political climate of colonial India, where Islamic beliefs particularly the authenticity of the Qurʾān and the Prophetic biography were subjected to sustained criticism. Employing a qualitative and comparative methodology, the study analyzes the major theological themes addressed in the book, including textual inconsistencies in the Torah and the Gospels, the question of biblical corruption, prophetic references to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the Old and New Testaments, the refutation of the “sword theory” of Islamic expansion, the affirmation of Prophetic miracles, clarification of the concepts of “Spirit of God” and “Son of God,” critique of the Trinity, and the doctrine of abrogation (naskh).Special attention is given to the author’s exegetical strategies, intertextual engagement, and rational-theological reasoning. The study also evaluates Prof. Saeedi’s editorial contribution in reorganizing, annotating, and academically refining the text for contemporary scholarship. The findings suggest that Khulāṣah Ṣawlat al-Ḍaygham constitutes a substantial contribution to Muslim-Christian intellectual discourse and remains a valuable resource for advanced studies in comparative theology and interfaith dialogue".
