This research paper examines Qiyās (analogical reasoning) as a secondary source of Islamic jurisprudence, with reference to Tafseer Ahsan-ul-Bayan. It explains the definition, elements, and authority of Qiyās, showing its essential role in deriving Shariah rulings when explicit texts are absent.Supported by the Qur’an, Sunnah, Ijma‘, and rational proofs, Qiyās is presented as a valid and necessary method of legal deduction. The study highlights examples from Ahsan-ul-Bayan where Qiyās is applied in interpreting verses related to moral and social conduct. It concludes that Qiyās serves as a vital means to preserve the universality, flexibility, and continuity of Islamic law across all ages.
