Women’s Domestic issues and their legal solution

Domestic violence- physical, emotional, sexual and economic abuse is a significant issue addressed by legislation like the domestic violence prevention and protection act 2012. These laws are designed to provide protection, shelters and monetary relief. Deprivation of inheritance rights is prohibited by laws to prevent this right’s denial through deceitful means. The Punjab enforcement of property rights Act 2021 is one example. Forced marriges and harmful practices are criminalized by various acts, such as the prevention of Anti-women practices criminal law amendment Act 2011, targeting forced marriages, child marriages and customs like vani and swara. Giving a female in marriage to settle a dispute is included. Harassment at home and work is addressed by specific laws like the protection againstharassment of women at the workplace Act 2010 and amendments to the Pakistan penal code
