This article examines the cultural and social dimensions of displacement in Hasan Manzar’s novel Dhani Bakhsh ke Baitay. It explores how leaving one’s native land voluntarily or under compulsion eshapes identity, disrupts familial and social structures, and produces deep psychological tensions. Through close textual analysis, the study highlights the novel’s depiction of fractured relationships, dislocated selves, and the struggle to maintain cultural continuity amid socio-economic pressures. By engaging with broader debates on migration, memory, and cultural fragmentation, the article argues that Dhani Bakhsh ke Baitay not only reflects the lived realities of displaced individuals but also offers a subtle critique of the socio-political conditions that sustain displacement.
